Guangdong's 10 laser and additive manufacturing technology projects were funded and launched a new battle for technology

Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology released the "Glass and Additive Manufacturing" major special application guidelines for the development of key areas in Guangdong Province from 2019 to 2020 (consultation draft), which will target high-stability ultraviolet ultrafast lasers and high-brightness semiconductor lasers. 10 laser and additive manufacturing technology projects, such as chip and application, 4D printing special materials and variant structure intelligent printing control technology, ultra-fast laser multi-axis precision machining tool equipment development and application, to support the high-end intelligent manufacturing in Guangdong Province The industrial level promotes the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing.

At this stage, laser and additive manufacturing are the “short board” industries in Guangdong Province, and there are problems such as original technology and insufficient core technologies. However, it is worth looking forward to: the application of basic research, common key technologies and equipment research, high-performance devices and components and raw materials, major equipment and application systems, typical application demonstration and other industrial bases.

Additive manufacturing technology integrates digital technology, manufacturing technology, laser technology and new material technology to directly produce CAD digital models into 3D solid parts quickly and precisely, realizing "free manufacturing". Compared with traditional manufacturing techniques, additive manufacturing technology has a series of advantages such as high flexibility, no mold, short cycle, and no restrictions on part structure and materials.

In recent years, with the introduction of a series of support policies, the development of the laser and additive manufacturing industry in Guangdong has grown significantly. Many companies have developed different types of laser additive equipment, such as sole 3D printers and metal 3D printers.

In the future, as the cost of material production continues to decline, laser additive technology will be widely used in electronics, automotive, electronics, medical, military, aerospace and other fields. The birth of more and more mature laser additive manufacturing equipment is also urging advances in related equipment technology, such as chillers for heat dissipation.

Special Domain Electromechanical Corporation has been keeping pace with the development of the times, developing standard industrial chillers suitable for cooling various high-tech laser technology equipment, and providing more efficient cooling solutions for more advanced laser manufacturing processes.

So far, the company has produced more than 90 chiller models available for sale, with 120 custom models available for more than 100 industries including laser additive manufacturing. Precision, efficient, intelligent and convenient, stable cooling performance and support for computer communication, the special domain chiller has been sold to more than 50 countries and regions around the world, with an annual sales volume of more than 60,000 units, which has established an excellent brand image in the industry.
